We needed help on a soup-to-nuts ELL product for young learners, and Jen brought the perfect combination of experience, expertise, creativity, and care to our team. She was key to developmental planning and execution of a multi-component product spanning print, video, and digital; from book maps to video scripts to mini-game wireframing, Jen is like a Swiss Army knife! She excels at fully imagining product ideas, testing them against her unerring kid sense, and then making them come alive through multimedia proof-of-concept presentations. She is collaborative, is a strong communicator, shows grace under pressure, and is an all-around pleasure to work with. We were delighted to bring her back aboard for a second project, and highly recommend her services to others.
We needed urgent help with our messaging for Gamescom, our first big event, and we had just rough drafts. It was really hard to nail the right wording. This is when we got in touch with Jennifer. She immediately understood what it was all about and was able to find the right tone and grasp the essence of what we were trying to say. It took so much pressure off our shoulders and was extremely helpful! We got very positive feedback from our partners and customers, which cannot be a better validation. Working with Jennifer is very easy and a pleasure! I highly recommend her to anyone!
CC&P and Cantave Creative & Consulting have collaborated on an Instructional Design Course for teachers and a Business English course for one of the biggest language institutes in Mexico. We were looking for someone who could bring a range of skills to the work including instructional design, curriculum design, lesson planning, and content creation. Jen brings all of these skills and a flexible, can-do attitude. She has plenty of experience in publishing, and she has a freshly minted MBA. Apart from all of that, Jen is just delightful to work with. Lucky you if you have the chance. We will work with her again.
It was a pleasure to co-author video scripts with Jen for a primary language learning project. Her fun, creative ideas came to life on the page in the voices of the characters. She has the knack for making language for children sound real and natural. I quickly saw that Jen knew how to put the characters into believable situations and then let them talk. It was a great learning experience for me, and my own writing certainly improved with Jen’s thoughtful feedback on my work. Jen is reliable, on time, knowledgeable, and approachable — exactly what you want in an ELT author. I worked with Jen for over five years at Macmillan. Although we were on different teams, I saw how she handled large, complex book series and marveled at her organizational skills and people skills.
Jen is that rare combination of consummate professional and authentically warm human. During my time at Macmillan Education, working with Jen taught me about getting a project right without getting paralyzed by perfectionism, making change management work for human life as well as business deadlines, and advocating for users, PreK-12 students, parents and teachers. Most of all, she constantly reminded me that the core of any education project isn’t OKRs, it’s helping kids learn. She’s the real deal! If you’re looking for someone to help you improve your learning experience, print or digital, don’t wait — email her today!
I have worked with Jen both in-house at Macmillan Education and in a freelance capacity. I have always enjoyed working with Jen — she brings strong project management skills, a calm demeanour, and a warm sense of humour to all her projects. As a Commissioning Editor, I found her approachable, very knowledgeable about all things ELT, and a great team player. As a freelancer, she is organised and a clear communicator. I would highly recommend Jen as a wonderful addition to any publishing team!
Jen and I belong to the same non-profit. Among the benefits she bestowed on us was bringing the newsletter to life. At times, I would write articles for the newsletter. By the time I submitted my article, in my mind it was perfect, i.e., don’t mess with it. But Jen did ... and IT WAS ALWAYS BETTER!!! I tried to pinpoint what she did to give the article more pizazz but couldn’t. She just makes things special!!!
I worked with Jen over a number of years on a primary ELT coursebook project that went on to be a bestseller. Jen was really great to work with, and it was a very nice experience working with her. It was a complex project with a team that seemed to change frequently, but Jen was a rock and all the authors found her steady hand reassuring as we navigated through from early concepts to final product.
